Ibbi's main goal is to increase the world's inhabitants' knowledge and respect for global biological diversity, as well as to increase the amount of data on biodiversity for science and management.
This app uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify species in nature. Ibbi is an engaging learning platform that makes it fun to learn about biodiversity. In the app, you grow your own "tree of life" which evolves as you collect new species. Eventually, you will be able to participate in events and projects, receive tasks based on storytelling about species, and share your observations and nature knowledge with others in a community. The app is designed to function both as a reference and a field tool for experienced nature observers, as well as for young nature enthusiasts curious about the world around them.

Axbit has contributed with UX and UI design in the initial iterations, frontend and backend development, in addition to machine learning for training and applying an AI model. It has been particularly interesting to build these models through:
This is an engaging app for both children and adults. With summer vacation just around the corner, collecting and documenting species on various trips around Norway and the rest of the world can be an incredibly fun activity.
