Well boats and fishing boats are becoming increasingly larger and more complex, at the same time that they generate and collect more data about, among other things, process systems, generators, propulsion, positioning, weather data and fish welfare. With help from Axbit and Clarify, Cflow has developed Synergy Log, which integrates various systems and converts large amounts of data into curated infographics. In this way, the crew saves time navigating a myriad of programs, and they can do their work much more efficiently.
Cflow has used it’s experience with automation of well boats and transferred this to production planning for farming. C-Evolution is a control and management platform that will assist with planning, ordering smolt and feed, moving fish and presenting live data that provides operational support to the operators. One of the challenges in the industry is the number of programs and tools you have to deal with, with C-Evolution you collect all data in one place.
Axbit has been involved in the start of the concept development for C-Evolution and carried out field work and interviews to uncover problem areas and user needs. We have used the insight to formulate product requirements and designed an elegant and intuitive dashboard prototype. Users can interact with this and give their valuable feedback, so that we can quality-assure the product without a single line of code. The aim is to improve the everyday working life of those who work in aquaculture and minimize the risk of human error. Stable control of the processes will also lead to increased fish welfare and quality. We believe that this is the next generation farming tool and we look forward to the road ahead!
